Annotate, gloss, workshop, debate: with CommentPress you can do all of these things on a finer-grained level, turning a document into a conversation. It can be applied to a fixed document (paper/essay/book etc.) or to a running blog.
A free editing service for developing country researchers who are trying to publish their work has been launched by students from leading academic institutions. The service, SciEdit, is run by a team of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Canada, Europe and the United States. They aim to provide detailed editorial feedback in accordance with the standards of journals such as Nature and Science - where many of them have been published.
Leicester Research Archive is a digital collection of research output from members of the University of Leicester, UK. It currently includes articles, book chapters, theses, reports, conference papers, and research databases, and can include any form of research output including data sets. Much material is freely available in full text. If an item is not available in full text, you can try the DOI or other links from within LRA.
