In the decentralized Indian Statistical System official statistics are available from different wings of the government both at the Centre and States/Uts. The Ministry of Statistics acts as the nodal agency for coordination and development of official statistics. It is proposed to develop the website of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation as a single point contact for accessing key official statistics on key indicators. It is also planned to provide access to data users to the large databases available from National Sample Surveys, Annual Survey of Industries, Economic Census etc to enable them critically analyze it derive findings from these databases. The National Data Warehouse set up by the Computer Centre uses advanced tools of Cognos Software for the design, development and deployment of the Data Warehouse.
