The electoral system consists of all the voting rights of citizens, the existing procedure for the formation of state representative bodies and the procedure for involving citizens in elections, the organization of elections and the interaction of deputies with voters. The author considers the electoral legislation and identifies the main stages of its development, as well as the factors that contributed to its development.
