Abstract

Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability among people worldwide. It is a cerebrovascular illness. Stroke is the third leading cause of mortality in developed nations, after heart disease and cancer. Stroke is the second leading cause of mortality globally and a significant source of morbidity because to the severe mental and physical disability many survivors are left with. Moreover 28 million people call KSA home. It occupies about four-fifths of the Arabian Peninsula. The incidence of stroke is rising quickly and is now one of the leading causes of mortality in Saudi Arabia. Stroke is more common in developing nations than in developed ones, yet there hasn't been nearly enough study done on its incidence, prevalence, and associated socio-demographic features. The goal of this study is to explore several aspects of stroke in Saudi Arabia based on existing research.
