First 2xperiences with these specimens and chRracteristi~ details of the various IDethods are described. Though life time experiments are close to practical insulation demands. the large scattering of their distribution is an important disadvantage. The registration of PD magnitudes gives n2c~ssary lnformation about PD phenomena and the characteristical progress of PD ageing. Then the question is-discussed. which criteria may be most important for the valuation of test methods. It is also proposed that basic research work should be continued, and steps of further investigation are recommended.
