Abstract

Charge distribution functions, zeta potentials and mobilities are calculated for a cylindrical rod immersed into a 1:1 or 2:2 electrolyte as a function of density and rod charge. Overcharging is found as well as a nonmonotonic variation of the zeta potential with rod charge.
