Abstract
Cardanol obtained by vacuum distillation of cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) at 220 '“ 230 ? and 2 '“ 4 mmHg. Epoxidized cardanol (ECD), derived from cardanol was synthesized at 65?, 2% catalyst, DB/AA/ H2O2 :1/0.5/1, stirring rates are 1800 r/m and characterized by FT '“ IR, 1H - NMR, 13C '“ NMR, TGA.
